Sweet and Sour Chicken Tikka Curry
A delicious sweet and sour chicken tikka curry with a blend of aromatic spices, yogurt, cream, and fresh lemon juice. Perfect served with rice, naans, or chapatis.

Ingredients
- 1 kg boneless chicken cut into small pieces
- 4 large onions, chopped
- 2 tbsps yogurt
- Ground red chili powder, to taste
- Salt, to taste
- 1 tsp ground coriander (Dhanyia)
- 3 tsps of sweet paprika powder
- 3 tsp sugar
- 3 tomatoes
- 1 tsp homemade garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 2 tsps of ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp of green cardamoms (optional)
- 1 tsp crushed fresh garlic
- 1 tsp crushed fresh ginger
- Cooking oil, as preferred
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- Chopped green coriander for garnish
Method

In a pot, sauté the chopped onions in oil until tender, add tomatoes, cook till the tomatoes and onions are mixed.

Add all the spices including the sugar.

Add the chicken and yoghurt to the pot and cook for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

If needed, add water to adjust the consistency of the curry. Cover the pot and let it cook on low heat until the chicken is tender.

Stir in chopped green coriander.

Serve the sweet and sour boneless chicken curry with rice, naans, or chapatis.
