Dates and Garlic Chutney
This chutney combines the sweetness of dates with the heat of green chillies and the robust flavour of garlic, making it a deliciously unique condiment. Enjoy it with a variety of dishes, such as grilled meats or samosas.

Ingredients
- 3 dates
- 3 cloves of garlic
- Green chillies (quantity as per your taste)
- Salt to taste
- Water
Method

Pour water into a pan. The quantity of water should be enough to cover the dates and garlic cloves.

Add the 3 dates and 3 cloves of garlic to the pan.

Let the mixture boil until the dates and garlic become soft. This might take 10-15 minutes depending on the heat level and size of the dates and garlic cloves.

Once soft, use a slotted spoon to transfer the dates and garlic into a blender. Some water can be added.

Add green chillies and salt to taste into the blender.

Blend the ingredients until you have a smooth paste. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a bit of the boiling water to help blend more easily.

Taste the chutney and adjust the seasoning, if necessary.

Serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
