Fruit Chaat

A popular and refreshing dish combining a variety of chopped fruits with a tangy citrus dressing. Perfect as a healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 large orange
  • 2 apples (washed and chopped small)
  • 2 pears (chopped small)
  • 2 peaches (chopped small)
  • Grapes (any variety, whole or halved)
  • Strawberries (chopped small)
  • Salt to taste
  • Boiled chickpeas and potatoes (optional)

Method

    Peel the large orange and extract the juice. Set aside.

    Wash and chop the apples, pears, peaches, grapes, and strawberries into small bite-sized pieces. Place in a mixing bowl.

    Pour the orange juice over the chopped fruits to add tangy flavour and prevent oxidizing.

    Sprinkle a pinch of salt and gently toss everything together.

    Optionally add boiled chickpeas and potatoes for added texture and nutrition.

    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavours to meld.

    Give a gentle stir before serving. Serve in individual bowls.
