Basic Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 tomatoes, cut into full or half circles
  • ½ cucumber, cut into full or half pieces
  • 1 small onion, chopped into small pieces
  • Salt, to taste
  • Juice of 1 lemon

Method

    In a large bowl, combine the chopped tomatoes, cucumber, salad leaves and onion.

    Add salt to taste.

    Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon over the salad mixture.

    Toss everything together until all the ingredients are well mixed and coated with the lemon juice and salt.

    You can serve it immediately, or let it sit for a few minutes to let the flavours meld together.
