Bhel Puri
A flavourful street food snack made with puffed rice, sev, fresh vegetables, and tangy chutneys. Feel free to customise by adding or omitting ingredients based on your preference.
Ingredients
- 2 cups puffed rice
- 1 cup sev (crispy chickpea flour noodles)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1 small potato, boiled and diced
- ½ cup chopped cucumber
- 2 tablespoons tamarind chutney
- 2 tablespoons mint-coriander chutney
- 1 tablespoon chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder (optional)
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- Lemon wedges for garnish
- Salt to taste

In a large mixing bowl, add the puffed rice, sev, chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, and raw mango (if using). Mix well.

Add the diced boiled potato to the bowl.

Drizzle the tamarind chutney and mint-coriander chutney over the mixture. Adjust the quantity of chutneys as per your taste.

Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chilli powder (if using), and salt over the mixture. Toss everything together to coat the ingredients evenly.

Garnish the Bhel Puri with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Serve the Bhel Puri in individual bowls or plates. Squeeze some lemon juice over each serving for an extra tangy flavour.
